Students will count in Spanish.

Use of Textbook “Así se Dice”. PowerPoint notes for students. Hands on activities. Extra time for those who need it. Internet sites. Mini white boards.

Student Activities

Students will count in Spanish as a whole with the teacher. Students will practice listening to numbers said in Spanish and will put them in numeral form on the mini white boards. Teacher will check white boards as informal assessment.

Students will be put into 2 large groups and will play the Números Game where teacher calls out a number in Spanish and students holding large flashcard numbers set up in the correct place to form the number.

Assessment/Evaluation

Use informal type of assessment.

Homework

Practice greeting people daily in Spanish as well as when they are leaving. Practice counting in Spanish.

Student Activities

Students will orally count in Spanish. Repeat over and over. Students will copy notes for Date and Time. Students and teacher will practice saying the date in Spanish. Students and teacher will practice telling time in Spanish. Whole class and cold call method will be used during oral practice.

Use informal type of assessment.

Study the numbers and greetings.

Student Activities

Students will complete a listening activity with numbers where teachers will say numbers in Spanish and students will write the correct numeral for a daily grade. Students will get into groups of 2 where they will exchange the date for today and tomorrow. Students will write the dialogue and present it with no notes.

Differentiating Instruction

Have Bodily-kinesthetic learners stand up and dramatize all the actions on greetings and good-byes. Students will also be working in partners in most of these practices. For slow paced learners, repetition is the key for them to grasp all the material covered. Visual learners might want to create drawings with their vocabulary to help them remember these new words.



Spanish 2, Week of August 27-31
Monday, 8/27/18

  1. Students will introduce themselves stating name, age and where they are from.
  2. Students will introduce a neighbor stating their name, age and where they are from.
  3. Students will pick partners to create and present a partner dialogue where students ask each other their age and where each partner is from.  Student write their dialogue and present with no notes.  Teacher grades written dialogue and oral presentation.

Tuesday, 8/28/18

  1. Students will introduce themselves stating name, age, and where they are from.
  2. Students will introduce a neighbor stating their name, age and where they are from.
  3. Students will copy Numeros notes.
  4. Students and teacher will practice counting by ones, fives, hundreds and thousands.  
  5. Students will complete Numeros Practice worksheet for a daily grade (25%).

Wednesday, 8/29/18

  1. Students and Teacher will practice counting by ones, fives, hundreds and thousands.
  2. Students will complete numbers practice on www.spanishspanish.com
  3. Students will show teacher successful completion of each section assigned before moving on to the next section.

Thursday, 8/30/18

  1. Students will take Quiz 2: Greetings and Introductions
  2. Students will get in two large groups and play the Numeros Game

Friday, 8/31/18

      1. Students will play Numeros Bingo



Spanish 2, Week of August 20-24

 

Monday, 8/20/18

  1. Students will introduce themselves.
  2. Students will then introduce a person using images on power point slide show run by teacher
  3. Teacher and class will practice the alphabet in Spanish.
  4. Students will introduce themselves again but will also spell their first and last name.

Tuesday, 8/21/18

  1. Students and teacher will review introductions of self and others.
  2. Class will practice the alphabet and each student will take a turn spelling a word in Spanish.
  3. Students will copy the notes titled “Greetings and Introductions”
  4. As a class, students and teacher will practice pronunciation of the notes
  5. Teacher will greet all students and students must reply with an appropriate greeting.
  6. Students will watch the video “Greetings and Introductions”

Wednesday, 8/22/18

  1. Class will practice the alphabet as a whole.
  2. Students will come up to the front of the room where they will recite the alphabet with no notes for a quiz grade (25 %)
  3. Students will introduce themselves stating name, age and where they are from.
  4. Students will take turns introducing a neighbor stating their name, age and where from
  5. Students will pick a partner.Partners will come up to the front of the room to introduce their partner stating their name, age and where they are from.

Thursday, 8/23/18

  1. Students and teacher will practice greetings and goodbyes from Monday’s notes
  2. Students will introduce people from power point slideshow stating names and ages.
  3. Students will pick a partner and write in Spanish a dialogue following the dialogue guide provided by the teacher.
  4. After enough time to write and practice dialogue, partners will present dialogue to the class.
  5. Students will copy notes titled “Números”

Friday, 8/24/18

  1. Students will work on the números section of www.spanishspanish.com where they will spell the numbers correctly.Students must complete all sections by tens.
