Veterinary Science

  • Discover and chart basic facts about mammals, reptiles and amphibians
  • Consider which types of animals you would prefer working with as a vet and why

Sports Medicine

  • Compare body systems and decide which is most likely to be injured in sports
  • Define various terminology associated with anatomy, physiology, and body positions

Pharmacology

  • Examine discovery medicine
  • Conduct an experiment to determine the age of asprin

Optical Diagnostics

  • Explore the structure of the orbital, muscular, and support element of the eye
  • Discover how the brain interprets messages received by the eye

Dental Diagnostics

  • Explore the oral cavity and the major components of which it is comprised
  • Examine different tooth surfaces

Clinical

  • Identify biohazard safety levels and the precautions associated with each
  • Define terms important to safety issues in the health care environment

Imaging

  • Examine the digestive and skeletal systems
  • Analyze the importance of knowing body systems in the field of imaging

Biomedical Applications

  • Illustrate cell division
  • Design a model of standard DNA

Cardiac Diagnostics

  • Explore the basic anatomy and physiology of the heart
  • List common signs and symptoms individuals with cardiovascular problems may describe when talking with a health care professional

Prepare for learning

  • Bell Work-Write down objectives and discuss the daily requirements for the activity.

    Data to adjust

  • To adjust the activity I will allow extra time needed for the student to go back and make sure they have mastered the material.
  • Based on the daily response I will be able to tell if the student(s) need to review the activity one on one.

Differentiated Instruction Practices

  • Make daily modifications
  • Re-take tests as many times as the student needs in order to reach mastery level
  • Student may choose to work alone if they prefer

  • Perform pre-test to gather data on what each student knows
  • Preform daily activities 1-9
  • Perform Post Test to gather the data on what the student learned during the module
  • Define terminology that applies to that activity for 1-9

  • Complete Post Test on the17th

  • Identify the components of a CAD system
  • Explain and demonstrate the commands in CAD

Computer Animation

  • Identify the three main purposes of animation
  • Identify a variety of animation techniques
  • Create simple drawings using an animation program

Digital Audio

  • Identify key elements of the Sound Forge user interface
  • Explain types of audio compression and decompression
  • Define MP3

Landscape Design

  • Explain how landscaping focuses on the beautification of outdoor terrain while combining the principles of art and the science of growing plants.
  • Define hardscapes and softscapes

Graphic Design

  • Load and view graphic files stored on the computer
  • Create new graph files
  • Draw basic shapes using the CorelDRAW program

Flight Transportation

  • Perform coordinated maneuvers
  • Read and interpret information on a sectional map\

Digital Photography

  • Perform proper lighting techniques
  • Open and close the Photoshop program
  • Explain the methods used to enhance photographs

Digital Music

  • Open and play MIDI files
  • Set up and prepare the keyboard for use

Rocketry and Space

  • Identify the common parts of a rocket
  • Use proper safety rules to complete each activity

Vinyl Sign Making

  • Discuss the history of signs and identify early uses of symbols used for signs and give examples
  • Determine the influences that technology has had on the sign making industry.
