February Attendance Challenge and Attendance March Madness:
Greetings Everyone!
For the month of February, each school will be competing for the best overall attendance in the district and we can earn bonus points by participating in the Slam Dunk for Charity.
Here’s how it works:
Each week, students can bring in specific items to earn bonus points. These points will help boost our attendance percentage and improve our seeding for Attendance March Madness. Counselors have shared details in each grade level Google Classroom, and announcements will also include information provided by CTech.
Students who choose to participate should bring their items to their 4th period class. Toward the end of each day, student workers will collect the items and place them in the College and Career Center. The items will then be picked up every Friday morning, so days the students are able to bring in items will be Monday thru Thursday.
Let's make this a fun and successful challenge for our students!

Be on the lookout for fun days of dress up, reading and celebrating the literary genius of Dr. Seuss within the district for Dr. Seuss Week , March 2-6!
This is an annual, school-focused celebration held around March 2nd (the author's birthday) to promote reading, often aligning with National Read Across America Day. It features themed, book-based dress-up days—such as wearing stripes, crazy socks, or green—alongside classroom activities, crafts, and reading sessions to foster a love for literacy!

⭐️October is National Principals Month, and Hobbs Municipal Schools proudly recognizes the incredible leadership of our principals across the district. Join us in celebrating them this month!
⭐️Each day, our principals live out the values of Hobbs Schools: they keep students at the center of their thoughts and decisions; they pursue sustainable high performance in teaching and learning; they build capacity in themselves, staff, students and families through communication; they model what it means to meet the need in service to others; and they embrace a spirit of innovation in pursuit of making our community better.
⭐️Our principals are more than campus leaders—they are the heartbeat of our schools. Their vision and commitment ensure safe, supportive, and successful learning environments where every student has the opportunity to thrive.
🦅On behalf of Hobbs Municipal Schools, we extend our deepest gratitude to our principals for the work they do each and every day. Thank you for joining us this month in celebrating and thanking them for making a lasting difference in the lives of our students and our campuses!
