I earned my Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Social Science, summa cum laude, from the University of the Southwest and am currently completing my Master’s in Teaching and Learning. I am in my seventh year of teaching and have been part of the AVID journey in Hobbs Schools since its first year, beginning my career in middle school Social Studies before joining Hobbs High School as an AVID teacher three years ago. Outside of school, I am a wife, mom of two, and “Gigi” to two awesome grandchildren, and I love traveling, finding any excuse to get to the beach, and making memories with my family. One of my favorite things about education is creating experiences that students may never have imagined for themselves, which is why I am thrilled to sponsor a student summer travel program—our first adventure will take us to Greece and Italy in Summer 2027!
