We would like to extend our congratulations to Kinley Gonzales, a sophomore who made history as our school's first girl diving champion! She achieved a personal best score of 399.20 at the state competition, narrowly surpassing Mataya Sand from St. Michael's with a score of 394.15. This outstanding performance contributed to a successful day for Hobbs Swimming and Diving.

Our consecutive state diving champion, Junior Alfredo Hernandez, determinedly secured the top spot with a score of 532.90, surpassing his co-champion from last year, Oliver Mattox, who scored 484.25.

Outstanding senior Michael Jenckes, who broke both his own and the school record yesterday and again today, secured 4th place and medaling with a time of 53.34. 100 Yard Butterfly.

The HHS boys 400 Freestyle Relay, with students Edgar Diaz, David Ramirez, Oscar Segovia and Michael Jenckes, placed 7th and placed 7th overall in the state out of 29 boys teams. Although they are a young team and competed well at state, we look forward to moving this program further up the ladder next season!

Congratulations to all our HHS Medal winners. We are so proud all of you! Go Eagles!
